Tea (:s/a/eeth/)

Entry #530
Monday, January 21, 2002

I've been on a tea kick lately. I really don't like tea that much. I assume I just haven't found the right teas yet, so I'm trying different ones in hopes of eventually enjoying some of the stuff. So I've been trying all kinds: english breakfast tea, orange spiece, "breathe deep" tea, green tea, kava kava tea, sugar plum spice tea. So far I've found english breakfast with sugar somewhat enjoyable and most of the others with sugar palatable (excepting sugar plum spice).

I'm getting my wisdom teeth ripped out of my skull. A few weeks ago, one of my upper left molars was hurting when I woke up in the morning. It was a dull, obnoxious, constant pain and it happened once or twice that week. Last week, it started before I went to bed and ended up having to take advil at four a.m. to numb my troubles. I assumed I had a cavity down near the gums, but the dentist couldn't find anything, so she's guessing my wisdom tooth is causing the pain.

I've been meaning to get them ripped out for some time, since I know they contribute to my tightly spaced teeth, which in turn contributes to the difficulty in flossing the damn things, which in turn contributes to me not flossing the damn things. This occasionaly pain is impetus to move me to action.

Dude, tea is awesome! :) Some of my favorites include:

Honey Lemon Ginseng Green tea

Earl Grey (with milk and brown sugar)

Chamomile

Gypsy Cold Care

And tons more. I drink tea all the time. Herbal teas and black teas and green teas oh my. But really when it comes right down to it I think that if you can get a hold of a really good Chai tea then that is the best. Problem is most people/coffee shops make it either with just a bag thing or with powder stuff. You need to find somebody that knows how to make it with all real ingredients. My dad's friend learned how to make real Chai in india and DAMN that stuff is good. yummm!

I have tried many ways to make tea good, I have found only 1 way. By adding enough sugar that it is more kool-aid than it is tea anymore. If you want to know the secret ratio its 4 sugar packets per Siagon Rendevous tea cup.

wisdom teeth suck. mine prevent me from opening my mouth to its sull capabilities. now i have to eat food in teeny tiny bites and certain sexual acts are out of the question. i went to the dentist and he was sposed to tell me if i had to get them taken out but he didn't say anything about that... he just filled a cavity in one of them. they're so far back that i cant reach them to brush them well. argh.

<p>and as for tea, earl grey is my favorite with three teaspoon of sugar and some half and half. i also like vanilla maple. chai is also quite tasty, but i prefer sugar and creamer in it.

I have this silly little flap of skin hanging over one of my wisdom teeth. I hope it stays there, because I really love playing with it using my tongue.

Well real chai isn't just tea, it's a combination of tea and milk (I think they actually use whole milk) and lots of spices and stuff. It's awesome.

That throat coat stuff is pretty disgusting. I think that's made by "Traditional Medicinals" the same people that make the much better tasting Gypsy Cold care tea.

There are loads of good teas though. Celestial Seasonings makes lots of good stuff, raspberry zinger, and lemon zinger and other weird fruity sounding teas. For me the main thing is to just never take the bag out of the water. I hate watered down tea. I always just leave the bag in until I'm done with the tea. Gotta be strong! :)

Oh, and wisdom teeth? Haha! I don't have any. Losers. *starts groping around in back of mouth to make sure they haven't showed up yet* Nope! Still good to go!

Namgorf, you don't have wisdom teeth or they haven't surfaced yet? None of my wisdom teeth are above the surface. But I still have three of them, which for me means 25% less pain then most folks.

I've been to the dentist twice in my life. The first time when I was really little and the second time a year or so ago. At that point the x-ray showed that I had no wisdom teeth at all. And I still can't tell that any have showed up, so I dunno. Coincidentally I have a dentist appointment scheduled for Friday. So I'll keep ya updated. WOOHOO! eheh...right.

I may be a bit late on the comment here, but listen to the masses on this one. Chai tea is where it's at. I'm addicted. Also, peppermint tea is killer.
